Chicago Summer Engagement at the Wrigley Building & North Avenue Beach

There is just something magical about summertime in Chicago, and Dani and Alex’s engagement session was the perfect reminder of why this season is such a favorite for engagement photos!

We started their session near the iconic Wrigley Building, where the city was absolutely buzzing with energy. The Chicago Riverwalk was filled with locals and tourists soaking up a beautiful summer evening, but one of the things I love most about photographing in Chicago is that there is always a hidden corner, a quiet backdrop, or the perfect pocket of light waiting to be discovered. Despite the crowds, we found plenty of beautiful spaces that allowed us to focus on Dani and Alex!

These two were so natural together. Whether they were strolling through the city streets, laughing together along the lakefront, or taking in the skyline views, their connection made every moment feel effortless. Engagement sessions are some of my favorite opportunities to slow down, get to know my couples better, and create images that truly reflect who they are together.

After exploring downtown, we made our way to North Avenue Beach, one of my favorite locations for couples who want both city and lakefront views in their gallery. The gorgeous blue waters of Lake Michigan created the most beautiful contrast against the Chicago skyline, giving us the best of both worlds in one location.
